Video formats
The camera supports several popular video formats to choose from, including H.264, H.265, MJPG, YUY2, as well as various methods of encoding and compressing video data, which have their own advantages and disadvantages.
H.264 is a standard format for high-quality video providing a high compression ratio without noticeable loss of quality.
H.265 is a new format that is the successor to H.264. It provides even greater reduction in bandwidth and file size while maintaining the same level of quality. Serves for transferring and storing high-resolution 4K and 8K video.
MJPG is a format consisting of a sequence of images in JPEG format. It does not involve inter-frame compression, so the file is large, but provides high quality and ease of processing. Often used in webcams and IP cameras.
YUY2 is a format that uses a 4:2:2 chroma subsampling scheme. It uses 16 bits per two pixels. The file size is smaller than MJPG, but there is some loss of color detail. It is also often used in webcams and IP cameras.
